Moving Forward

I want to have good words that will make people happy.
I want to be able to write them here.

And I guess that's the best I can do today.  I tried a lot of other words already, and none of them seemed the right ones.

So today, try to do only good things.  Try to say only true things.

And do your best not to despair.

I think I will just crawl back into bed, curl up with the cat, and do something brainless for a while.  Thinking has only made things worse today.

Reminded of a Song

Today, Posts from a WannabeAnimator (a blog I follow over on Tumbler) posted up a Kickstarter project that I'll be supporting.  It's for an animated film that is all about Vincent Van Gogh as told by his letters, his paintings, and his drawings.  I'll leave a link for the project down below for you all to check out, but the project reminded me of a song I heard called, "Vincent" by Don McLean.

That song has stuck with me through the years since I heard it, and my Dad and I even shared a love of Van Gogh's artwork (He sent me a book of Van Gogh paintings before he passed away in 1999).  I'm not sure if that's what makes this song and Vincent Van Gogh so special to me, but I wanted to share with you my love for a man whom many regard as the father of modern painting (There was even a Dr. Who episode all about him!  Here's a clip from the episode.)

So with that in mind, I'd like to ask you to consider pledging to "Loving Vincent - Bringing the paintings of Van Gogh to life".  I'll leave you with the Kickstarter trailer, and even if you don't pledge your support, I hope this reminded you of something special, too.

Thank you.
