It turns out that posting from my phone is much more difficult than I had anticipated; so my blog may suffer some infrequent posting until I return. But let me say a bit about Madrid before I go.
First, you will probably be walking everywhere; get used to it ahead of time, and buy a good pair of walking shoes. Second, if you are overweight, be prepared to have people remark on it if you're a girl. I heard someone referring to me as "gordita" this evening, but I am; so no sense in being upset about it. Just something to keep in mind. Last but not least, it's good to know a little Spanish when you're here; it helps tremendously.
So, my feet hurt. I got a bit of sun (mind, that isn't a good thing,) and while the flamenco place we wanted to go to was closed, today was still a pretty good day. I saw a lot of amazing things, ate a lot of food I normally wouldn't, and will be up again tomorrow doing it all again.
