Look up! The April Sky Is Full of Events!

There are some pretty awesome things going on in the April sky this year; so, I figured you'd want to know about them.  If you're looking for a good guide on finding all there is to watch this month, check out this article from EarthSky.  It's got you covered with everything from pictures to explanations.

And here's a helpful video.

We can see five visible planets this month, and Mars is closest to us right now, which should make it easier to see in the night sky.  We also have a visible (at least in the United States,) total lunar eclipse this month, but that's not all that makes it special.

Speaking of the moon, there was an article out today that may revise its age.  The research has been published in the journal, Nature, and it may help to further our understanding of our solar system--as well as offer up some new questions, too.

The Full Moon

And last, but not least, I leave you with a preview for Game of Thrones, season 4.

Keep your heads up, everyone!  The weekend's almost here.
