Reminded of a Song

Today, Posts from a WannabeAnimator (a blog I follow over on Tumbler) posted up a Kickstarter project that I'll be supporting.  It's for an animated film that is all about Vincent Van Gogh as told by his letters, his paintings, and his drawings.  I'll leave a link for the project down below for you all to check out, but the project reminded me of a song I heard called, "Vincent" by Don McLean.


That song has stuck with me through the years since I heard it, and my Dad and I even shared a love of Van Gogh's artwork (He sent me a book of Van Gogh paintings before he passed away in 1999).  I'm not sure if that's what makes this song and Vincent Van Gogh so special to me, but I wanted to share with you my love for a man whom many regard as the father of modern painting (There was even a Dr. Who episode all about him!  Here's a clip from the episode.)

So with that in mind, I'd like to ask you to consider pledging to "Loving Vincent - Bringing the paintings of Van Gogh to life".  I'll leave you with the Kickstarter trailer, and even if you don't pledge your support, I hope this reminded you of something special, too.
